SAVED HIS LIFE BY EATING DOG---- BODIE (Cal.), July 18 - A man named HUFF, aged 73 years, is lying in the hospital at this place, having been discovered in the snow of the Tioga range nearly frozen to death. He said that the had been out from Mariposa, Cal., for nearly three months, and that when he became snow-bound he was compelled to kill and eat his dog to save himself from starvation.
